"Hey Buttercup" is a handmade limited edition photography book. Each is woven and bound together both physically and in the viewers mind, bringing forth their own experiences of relationships. Images collected over years come together in a careful manner and are embellished with traditional media. Some images are meant to mark or accentuate particular points, visual and emotional. Raw canvas is used in conjunction with frayed edges to to create a closer more intimate and delicate interaction with the book and story itself.
After assembling of the images in the artists original, books pages were then worked on, scanned and reproduced. What follows is the meditative act of assembly by hand. The emotion filled book invites viewers in and encourages them to revisit again and again, much like a memory, sliding between emotions and judgment.
